Our staff are dedicated to making the Centre for Recording Achievement projects work. We thought it would be great to publish staff photographs so you can put a face to the names.

CRA Director - Responsible for the overall work programme of the Centre and for helping to define strategic aims and objectives.

Office Supervisor – Responsible for all aspects of CRA finance and office management. Senior contact for events and queries, and supervisor of all CRA staff.

Administrator (Website and Development) - Responsible for day-to-day work on the CRA website and for social media for CRA and Europortfolio.


External Team Members

Janet Strivens
Senior Associate Director

Janet also works at the University of Liverpool, UK as an Educational Developer. Janet is a member of the Educational Development Team and Programme Director for the Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. She also teaches in several modules on the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and is part of the programme team for the Professional Doctorate in Education. David Pierce
Associate Director - CPD

David is now working part-time following a successful career in Human Resource Management in three different industries and 12 years in the DfES working closely with Higher Education. His HRM experience was gained in the engineering industry (English Electric), the food processing industry (Kraft Foods) and the steel industry (Sheffield Forgemasters). He has been associated with the CRA since its inception and his responsibilities as Associate Director include the production of monthly news updates for our website, editing the e-journal, On Reflection, and linking with professional bodies.

John Peters

Associate Director – Research

John also works at the University of Worcester, UK as Deputy Head of Academic Development and Practice and Principal Lecturer in Higher Education. John is the course leader for the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and the new Masters in Higher Education. John also provides educational development workshops and has been responsible for drafting, or supporting the development on, numerous University policies relating to learning, teaching and assessment.
