
About CRA / Membership
We have a range of membership options which enable organisations, institutions, projects and individuals to join CRA.
Applications typically take around 5 days to process. Should you have any queries during this period, please contact our office via e-mail enquiries@recordingachievement.org
Once your application has been approved you will receive
- An invoice to cover your membership fees;
- A Username and Password for our 'Members Zone' on this website;
- Details of the next general meeting of the Centre and other forthcoming events.
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP
In addition to benefits provided by the CRA to the sector as a whole, Institutional Members have access to:-
- Free consultancy and/or training support.
- Free access to the members only Professional Development Seminar.
- Free copies of CRA publications.
- Opportunities for participation in funded Project activity, and reimbursement for same.
- Free or reduced rate participation at Conferences, Seminars and other activities organised by the Centre.
- Access to a wide network of managers and practitioners in schools, colleges and higher education institutions.
- Access to the Centre’s wide range of contacts which enables it to provide “fast track” updates on practice and policy developments.
- Access to the 'member’s zone' of the CRA website www.recordingachievement.org.
- Access to the electronic Journal "On Reflection", published three times per year.
- Representation and voting rights at the General Meetings.
- Access to the Charity Line facility for booking rail tickets when attending Centre meetings.
- Opportunities to steer the work of the Centre, by serving on the Board of the Trustees.
Drawn from organisations and institutions such as:
- Local Authorities
- Employers and CPD bodies
- Further/Higher Education, etc.
For institutions, the membership rate is based on the number of students you have. (If you do not have students, please contact us and we will assess which band is most relevant to your organisation).

ORGANISATIONAL ASSOCIATESHIP
This category of Membership is open to:
a. Limited Life Projects
i.e. funded activities which are linked to, or focussed upon, the development of Progress File/PDP practice.
b. Small organisations or departments
i.e. units within larger organisations. Where organisations seek to join through this category, they should be working with not more than 1,750 f-t-e students.
Such members will be designated. They shall have the following benefits:
- Up to five named individuals may be entitled to the benefits of participation.
- Any one out of those named individuals may attend CRA General Meetings on the same basis as Individual Associate Members.
- Any of those named may attend CRA events on the same basis as Individual Associate Members.
- All named individuals will have access to the Members’ zone of the website, to the electronic Journal "On Reflection", published three times per year, and may join the Register of Members’ Interests.
- The Organisational Associates shall receive a free copy of any CRA publications;
- The Organisational Associates may “develop proposals for funded activity that may be submitted under the name of the Centre”, subject to the same restrictions as Individual Associate Members.
- The Organisational Associates will have no rights in relation to the Centre for Recording Achievement Ltd other than those presented above.

INDIVIDUAL ASSOCIATESHIP
This category of membership is open to individuals, who for an annual, renewable payment will be entitled to:
- Receive notification of and attend at their own expense, General Meetings of the Centre.
- Receive individual copies of Centre publications without charge.
- Notification of Centre events, conferences and seminars.
- The opportunity to join the 'Register of Members Interests', which identifies areas of expertise which may be drawn upon in constructing and delivering proposals for funded activity made on behalf of the Centre.
- The opportunity, subject to the agreement of the Board of Trustees and with operational support from the Centre Manager, to develop proposals for funded activity that may be submitted under the name of the Centre. Such Proposals will be subject to an administration cost of 10% of the total amount of the Proposal should this prove successful, in order to cover costs involved in administration and financial control.

WORLD MEMBERSHIP
This membership category is open to organisations outside the United Kingdom only. Where educational institutions seek to join through this category they should be working with not more than 1,750 f-t-e students. Institutions working with students in excess of this figure may apply to join through this route, but acceptance will be at the discretion of the Trustees.
The benefits of world membership include:
- Limited free consultancy and/or training support, provided remotely.
- Free copies of CRA publications.
- For named individuals, free or reduced rate participation at events organised by the CRA.
- Access to a wide network of managers and practitioners in UK schools, colleges and higher education institutions.
- Access to the Centre’s wide range of contacts which enables it to provide “fast track” updates on practice and policy developments.
- Access to the 'member’s zone' of the CRA website www.recordingachievement.org and to the electronic Journal "On Reflection", published three times per year.
- Named individuals may join the Register of Members’ Interests.
- World Members will commit to active involvement with the CRA in seeking opportunities for transnational funding which meets shared agendas. Additionally, World Members may “develop proposals for funded activity that may be submitted under the name of the Centre”, subject to the same restrictions as Organisational Associates and Individual Associate Members.
- World Members will have no rights in relation to the Centre for Recording Achievement Ltd other than those presented above.
