The National Action Research Network

The Employer Engagement Project aims to encourage policy development in within the UK higher education sector, to ensure that the continuing learning needs of part time, discontinuous, work based learners are given recognition and support. Refining best practice within e-technology use will enable both employer and employee to engage in higher level learning, reflection and development.

The Employer Engagement project has support from, and involvement with, leading educational institutions from various sectors.

The National Action Research Network

The National Action Research Network

National Action Research Network on Researching and Evaluating Personal Development Planning and e-Portfolio.

A first round National NTFS Research Project (2007-2010) based at the University of Bolton, managed jointly by Sue Burkinshaw and Dr John Peters, NTF 2001, University of Worcester, using the expertise and network power of the Centre for Recording Achievement (CRA) to bring together those at the forefront of PDP implementation. The Project directly engages practitioners from 16 HEIs in participant action research to build capacity for robust research and evaluation amongst those responsible for implementing PDP in HE.

The Centre for Recording Achievement (CRA) is a national network organisation and a registered educational charity. It seeks to ‘promote the awareness of recording achievement and action planning processes as an important element in improving learning and progression throughout the world of education, training and employment’.

CRA offers a range of services to members, other institutions/organisations and their communities aimed at supporting the implementation of Progress Files, Personal Development Planning and e-portfolios.
