This is an action research project funded by the Gates Malaria Partnership (GMP) to develop, implement, monitor, review and evaluate the use of PDP to help a cohort of post-doctoral graduates gain the skills and confidence to plan and manage their career development and progression in their home countries. A specific PDP system was designed to meet the needs of this group of lifelong learners based within developing countries in Africa, and outside of the formal Higher Education System.
