This first-of-its-kind, web-based system enables each Alverno student — anyplace, anytime — to follow her learning progress throughout her years of study. It helps the student process the feedback she receives from faculty, external assessors and peers. It also enables her to look for patterns in her academic work so she can take more control of her own development and become a more autonomous learner.

'Your Career Service Portfolio' - This is an electronic house that will store documentation of competencies that students are developing, recognising, tracking and learning to articulate in college. They can document competencies and capabilities that they develop as they pursue internships, leadership and community development opportunities, coursework, and field-based study or research experiences.

Elgg is a Personal Learning Landscape. It originally started out as an alternative e-portfolio and has since morphed into something new. The strength lies in its reflective / collaboration potential. It is all about the learner making relevant connections.

The Electronic Portfolio Consortium, or ePortConsortium, is the collaboration of higher education and IT institutions working to define, design, and develop electronic portfolio software environment and management systems.
