In accordance with Precept 20 of the QAA Code of Practice, Section 1: Postgraduate Research Programmes, from 2005/06, all newly-registered Research Students at DMU have been required to complete a Training Needs Analysis. The TNA is based on the Joint Statement of the Research Councils Skills Training Requirements for Research Students and has been designed to help students to: reflect on the skills they have; identify the areas they need to work on; plan how and when they are going to develop these skills.
