As part of the first-year module Introduction to Computing, the Department of Mathematical Sciences has introduced a compulsory, assessed key skills day that takes place towards the end of the spring term. The purpose of the day is to help students to recognise the key transferable skills that they are gaining through their degree studies and to be able to place these skills into a business context.
